Performance Engineers

We are looking for Performance Engineers to interface with our team and our clients to help assess the performance of IT infrastructures, establish baselines, and identify opportunities for optimization/improvement. This is a highly visible, client-facing role. We value creative, strategic thinkers with demonstrated interest and skills in optimizing network performance.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000.

We are looking for team members with the following skills:

  • Expertise with network and application performance solutions  (e.g. OPNET / Riverbed Netcollector (formerly OPNET VNE Server) and/or similar products)

  • Experience working with or integrating various enterprise management systems (e.g. HP BSM / OpenView / BTO and/or similar products)

  • Excellent understanding of technology concepts such as SDLC, systems engineering, IT performance management, IT operations, operational monitoring, security monitoring, and KPIs

  • Knowledge of various IT infrastructure technologies (e.g. applications, servers, networks, storage)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing

If you have any of the following, it would be a bonus:

  • Solid understanding of networking technologies (routing, switching, TCP/IP, Ethernet traffic analysis tool, TAPs, traffic brokers)

  • Active US Secret or Top Secret clearance

  • Extensive experience in packet analysis (Wireshark)

  • Familiarity with ITILv3 concepts especially Service Operations

Security Engineers

We are looking for team members with the following skills:

  • Strong understanding of networking technologies (routers, switches, TCP/IP)

  • Experience with different platform technologies (Windows, Linux, VMware, MacOS)

  • Expertise with security technologies (IDS, IPS, FW, AV, Proxies, DLP, PKI, SSL/TLS, SSL visibility, VPN)

  • Extensive experience integrating and managing security products (e.g., Fireeye, ArcSight, PaloAlto, Blue Coat SWG, Vontu DLP, Snort, ELK, Splunk, and Netwitness)

  • Solid experience with scripting (to automate analysis tasks)

If you have any of the following, it would be a bonus:

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, .NET, or Python

We are looking for a software developer to support the development and maintenance of specialized web-based software applications used by federal and commercial enterprise clients.

This is a hybrid position: 4 days per week working remotely and 1 day per week working on site in Reston, Virginia. This position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM).

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000 per year.

You should have the following qualifications:

  • Must have B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or
    Software Development

  • Must have 12 months of experience as Software Engineer (may include experience as Junior/Entry-Level Software Developer)

We are looking for team members with the following skills:

  • Must have experience managing, maintaining, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases

  • Must have experience developing, maintaining, and upgrading software application backends using a Python-based stack in an established framework

  • Must have experience developing test criteria and implementing custom testing suites for application logic via Python-based unit tests

  • Must have experience conducting quality assurance testing in Google Cloud Platform

  • Must have experience developing custom APIs and integrating with software application frontends using Python Flask

Job Duties:

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases

  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade web-based software applications, using a Python-centric stack in an established framework

  • Develop test criteria and implement custom testing suites for application logic via Python-based unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing in Google Cloud Platform

  • Develop custom APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and integrate with software application frontends using Python Flask

  • Design and develop database schemas via proprietary YAML-based models of key business logic in PostgreSQL.

  • Lead software architecture and full lifecycle software development, including designing and implementing new web applications using a Python-centric stack

  • Create and maintain technical documentation across all software development stages, including software developer and user guides, as well as software architecture diagrams

  • Proactively gather requirements for new software development projects and lead the design and implementation of tailored software customizations to existing web applications working closely with clients to understand their business needs

  • Drive technical alignment between Gobo products and client needs by translating ongoing client feedback into concrete software product updates and software feature enhancements, while managing long-term client relationships.
